A fantastic start-up set to get you kickstarted for your future climbing endeavours! The Viper 2 Package includes the brilliant all-round Viper 2 Harness, Bug belay and Aero HMS, Tube chalk bag and chalk ball.
The DMM Viper 2 harness is a versatile, high quality harness – in fact it’s a great all rounder, which is both lightweight and extremely comfortable. The floating waist belt construction guarantees a neat fit, with the gear loops, padding and belay loop all correctly aligned. DMM have added a copious five loop racking system for easy access to all of your gear. Slide Lock buckles give quick adjustment and a secure fit. The ideal harness at the wall, on the crag, or in the mountains.
The DMM Bug is a simple and classic belay device, that is ideal for handling ropes between 9 and 11mm. Being a hot forged steel plate that has been rumbled and anodised, the DMM Bug is strong and smooth to use which means that all rope bearing surfaces are kind to the rope. To attach it to a biner, Bug is secured with a strong wire with a hard wearing nylon coating.
The DMM Aero HMS has several features which raise it above the competition. For a start it’s hot forged – a process that allows us a much greater degree of freedom in the design and manufacturing process. A product of this very freedom is the anti snag Keylock nose. And then there is the extremely generous rope radius – a whopping 11.3mm! It is also a very strong biner, and while it might not be the lightest locker around, this extra bulk means greater resistance to wear and excellent heat dissipation – something you will appreciate on your next big abseil. The Aero HMS is the perfect biner to team up with the Bug for an ultimate belay set-up.
The DMM Tube chalk bag is a classic chalk bag with a deep pile lining, toothbrush holder and a chalk proof closure.
Loose chalk can be messy, even if you’re not the clumsy type it’s hard to avoid spilling the stuff all over the place. Little wonder that most climbing walls encourage the use of chalk balls. The DMM chalk ball keeps the chalk inside your chalk bag where it should be.
